Sarah Goodridge was a prolific American painter who specialized in miniature portraits. She watercolored a self-portrait of her exposed breasts on a 2.6x3.1" ivory canvas for US Senator Daniel Webster in 1828, who was recently widowed. She titled the artwork "Beauty Revealed."
